The Story Of Coco Bella Bleu
(As Told By Another Chance Pet Rescue)
CoCo was a beautiful 3-4 year old tortie point Siamese who was found by our local kill shelter. Her story was of a lifetime of sadness and neglect.
Coco was found and spayed under a feral cat program as she was ear tipped. Somehow she made her way to our local humane society, where she was adopted there 2 years ago by a person who has adopted 7 cats from there. It was later found out the owner moved and threw out all his cats. Coco was found disposed of in a dumpster in a bad neighborhood. She had clearly been tortured.
She was found strangled with her collar shoved down her throat and emaciated with her tongue rotted off and no teeth. In spite of this, she was a sweet, gentle and loving girl desperate to survive. She nearly died the night she was brought into the shelter but somehow rallied and survived!
Because she has no teeth and only a partial tongue she could not eat well or drink on her own. A kind worker at the shelter was syringe feeding her but it was not enough. She needed help, and fast! Through the power of the Internet, we were able to find a home who was willing to take CoCo in and give her the care she so desperately needed!
We acted fast and immediately took her to have surgery to place a feeding tube. CoCo barely survived the surgery, but finally woke up several hours later and all was well. Sadly, she pulled her tube out less than 24 hours after surgery. She had to undergo surgery again. Unbelievably CoCo made it through the 2nd surgery even though the odds were against her. CoCo stayed with a wonderful foster who adored her and cared for
her every need for several weeks until she was strong enough to be transported to her forever home in Pennsylvania.
CoCo was taken to meet her new mom and dad, Peter and Dena, who are 2 of the most loving and caring people on the planet! From the moment they met, they loved her, and she them! CoCo was renamed CoCo Bella Bleu, which suited her perfectly. Peter and Dena lovingly fed CoCo through her feeding tube several times a day for many, many weeks. They took her to see veterinary specialists, who eventually were able to remove her feeding tube as she was able to eat on her own! She was still supplementary fed by syringe, but she took a majority of her meals on her own.
She even was able to wolf down a chicken breast! CoCo’s story was documented on her very own facebook page and she had people following her from around the world. https://www.facebook.com/CocoBellaBleu CoCo made friends at her new foster home with the other family pets and fit right in. She loved her new family so much and was so happy to have them.
Sadly, CoCo’s tiny body had undergone too much damage, and she was unable to keep up her fight. After only a few short months, CoCo went and cuddled up in her heated bed with her cat brother Newman, and went to sleep. She never woke up. This was a huge shock to all of us as she had been doing so well. So many hearts broke around the world and tears were shed for we all loved this girl. It was so unfair she had to leave us. She was such a fighter.
She taught so many about determination and will to live. We will never forget CoCo Bella Bleu and the lessons she taught us.
While the precious Miss CoCo Bella Bleu is no longer with us, she has also left a legacy that ALL of us can help to continue. AND that is to keep raising awareness about and help with the fight against the animal cruelty that his little suffered from. This cruelty to our furry little friends should NOT be happening in our society. More people need to be made aware of this in the hope that better legislation be sought to try and prevent this type of abuse. Help Put A STOP To Animal Cruelty! PLEASE let YOUR lawmakers know that you want TOUGHER and ENFORCEABLE laws against animal abuse/cruelty!
Farewell, Little One. You WILL Be Truly Missed By Your Family And ALL Those That Followed Your Story.
PEACE Forever…

“CoCo Bella Bleu … ANOTHER precious miracle that will NOT be forgotten. Enduring the worst of humanity, God let her have time to know REAL love and compassion before carrying her home Himself. Tears fall softly for this little loving spirit. A part of her loving nature will live on in our hearts.”
“When you are sorrowful, look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth, you are weeping for what has been your delight”
